The perfect nanny is invisible. She is trusted with everything: the children, their routines, the family secrets. She is expected to notice everything and remember nothing.
For more than a decade, the Unnamed Nanny worked for some of the richest families in the world. She travelled on private jets, stayed on vast estates and luxury yachts, and helped raise children whose lives were planned years in advance. She saw separate apartments for young children; staff who were expected to disappear; parents who believed there was no problem that money couldn't solve.
She was paid to look after the children. She was expected to look away from everything else. But everyone has their limits to what they can witness and remain silent. She found hers the hard way.
Part memoir, part expose, The Unnamed Nanny is an anonymous account of raising the children of the ultra-rich - and what really happens behind the closed doors of the 1%.
The families remain anonymous.
So must she.
